IWC Schaffhausen Portofino Chronograph 39 with Stainless Steel Bracelet – HOROLOGIUM

IWC has launched its first Portofino Chronograph 39 with a stainless steel bracelet, combining the 39mm stainless steel case with a silver-plated dial. In a way, given the position of this collection family, it is surprising that this didn’t already exist as an option.

The polished rhodium plated hour markers of the main dial are accompanied by two sub dials – a small hacking seconds and 30-minute counter, featuring Roman numerals. All hands are also rhodium-plated and polished.

Through the open case back can be seen the IWC automatic 69355. Featuring a column wheel chronograph, it beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 46 hours.

The new Portofino Chronograph 39’s case is polished and is fitted with a 5-link stainless steel bracelet with a mix of brushed and satin-finished links. It has a quick-change system, so you can swap it for a non bracelet option as well.

The Portofino collection continues to quietly do its thing in the background compared to its more high profile IWC stablemates, and this new strap option to the model makes sense. The new Chronograph 39 with a stainless steel bracelet, in a case size which is accessible for a broad range of wrists, has an RRP of AUD 12,300.
