Seiko Australia Birth – Rebirth Exhibition — Plus9Time

The exhibit was broken up into three distinct sections. The first of these showed a number of historical models on loan from the Seiko Museum in Japan displayed in cog shaped stands that were previously used at the Seiko Dream Square in Ginza. The displays had a pair of large posters above the exhibits detailing some of the company’s founding details, such as the establishment of the Seikosha Clock Factory in 1882, and the company’s first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913. The posters described the models on display, starting with the first Seiko branded watch released in 1924. The next model shown was the Crown Chronograph released in 1964 the same year as the Tokyo Olympic Games. Beside this was the 62MAS Japan’s first divers watch released in 1965.
