Richard Mille’s iconic RM 17-02 Tourbillon has long been a benchmark for innovative watchmaking. First introduced in quartz TPT and diamond-coated variations, this manual-winding tourbillon has now evolved into a sleek, sporty titan.
The case in this RM 17-02 Tourbillon Titanium is constructed in Grade 5 titanium for ruggedness and weight reduction, measures a good 40.10mm in diameter and 48.15mm in height, with a thickness of 13.08mm. To amplify the industrial look, the case is brushed and the screws are left to be visible for that very reason. It’s designed with a seamless arc that extends from one end of the case to the other, enhancing its fluid appearance while also making it durable enough for everyday wear.
A skeletonized display showcases a variety of components in rose gold, while some bridges are treated with blue PVD, providing a striking contrast. The bright yellow Arabic numerals on this watch gives it somewhat of a 1980s comic book.

Visible through both the skeletonised dial and the exhibition caseback is the Calibre RM17-02 manual winding tourbillon movement that orchestrates the central hours and minutes, a tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock, a function selector at 4 o’clock, and a power reserve indicator between 1 and 2 o’clock. The fast-rotating barrel promises a consistent power delivery, all while providing a good 70 hour power reserve.
