Following the launch of the new-generation Type XX in June 2023, Breguet continues to develop the line by welcoming a civilian version in gold, incorporating ceramic.

Like the versions released last year, this new timepiece draws inspiration from the emblematic watches dating back to the collection’s origins. Gold was indeed chosen for very rare timepieces in 1955, notably Breguet No. 1780, which is now at the Breguet Museum. There were only three gold timepieces in this small series, called either Type 20 (military version) or Type XX (civilian version).

Technical Specifications:
The case, in 18kt rose gold, measures 42mm x 14.1mm. Fluted 18kt gold bidirectional rotating bezel with blue ceramic ring. It has a domed AR-coated sapphire crystal, a sapphire display back, and it is water resistant to 100 meters.

Movement is the Swiss automatic Breguet in-house caliber 728 with 39 jewels, 36,000 vph and a power reserve of 60 hours. It features a flat silicon balance spring, and an inverted in-line lever escapement with silicon horns. It has a sunburst motif, snailing, chamfering, circular graining and other visible decorations on the components. Column wheel with black treatment. The blackened gold rotor is shaped like an aircraft wing and engraved with the Breguet logo. Functions are: hours and minutes. Flyback chronograph, date, small seconds, 15-minute and 12-hour counters.

Sunburst blue dial with 18kt rose gold logo. The three counters feature a snailed motif. The numerals are in gold and filled with luminescent material. The 15-minute counter is located at 3 o’clock, the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock and the running seconds at 9 o’clock. Date window between 4 and 5 o’clock.

It comes on a midnight blue alligator leather strap and with a midnight blue NATO fabric strap with white piping, both with an 18kt rose gold pin buckle.

It is delivered in a Havana-colored leather box reminiscent of an aircraft wing profile.

Thanks.
