G-Shock has introduced a new full metal analog chronograph version of its popular CasiOak collection.
Offered in a 46.3 mm x 12.4 mm (51.3 mm lug-to-lug) full metal stainless steel case with a solid CNC-milled stainless steel bracelet, the Casio G-Steel GMC-B2100 Full Metal Chronograph (aka “CasiOak”) is available in two versions at launch, one with a black dial (Ref. GMC-B2100D-1A ) and the other in light blue (GMB-B2100AD-2A).
Distinguished by an octagonal bezel, full-metal case, and dimpled bracelet, the GMC-B2100 is rugged and durable and features buffering components made of fine resin installed between the bezel and the case for a shock-resistant structure with a full-metal exterior.
The bezel was produced using a forging, cutting, and polishing process that’s time-consuming and results in a high-quality finish with a circular hairline treatment on the top surface and mirror polish on the slopes.
“The delicate molding and vapor deposition of Casio ultra-precision processing technologies add sophistication and quality to the indexes and inset dial rings. The screw-lock crown is designed in the same octagonal shape as the bezel for a more compact case with no sacrifice in outstanding G-Shock shock resistance,” according to Casio.
A high-density mounting keeps the module slim (case is 12.4 mm), while still providing advanced functions such as Bluetooth time syncing, solar power, a stopwatch, a countdown timer, multiple daily alarms, an on-demand LED light, and more.
The G-Steel GMC-B2100 Full Metal Chronograph weighs 171 grams and an armored mineral crystal protects the dial, along with a stainless steel caseback that is attached with screws, and a screw-down crown, with a water resistance rated to 200 meters. Available in the US soon.
