The niche segment of limited edition small brand collaborations at friendly price points continues to maintain a steady pace, with the latest addition between Louis Erard, a brand which has carved out its own spot within this space, and independent watchmaker Stefan Kudoke.
The Louis Erard X Kudoke “Le Regulateur” comes in four limited edition variants – 78 pieces with either purple grained or white mother-of-pearl dials, and one hundred pieces with green or light blue gained dials. For those unfamiliar with the dial layout, you have the hours at 12 o’clock, seconds at 6 o’clock, and a central minutes, all with blued steel hands.
The railway track chapter ring, counter rings and two Erard and Kudoke logo plates are rhodium-plated, the matte rhodium-plated hour sub dial has a hobnail pattern and a Kudoke infinity-shaped hand.
The stainless steel case is 42mm with a thickness of 12.2mm and has water resistance of 50m. Behind the open case back can be seen the automatic Sellita SW266-1A which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 38 hours. The open-worked rotor has the Louis Erard symbol in black lacquer.
Coming on gray, beige, or light gray grained calf straps with black grained calf lining and a polished stainless steel pin buckle, the Louis Erard X Kudoke “Le Regulateur” limited editions are priced at CHF 4,000 (excluding taxes) for the purple, blue and green dials, and CHF 4,5000 for the mother-of-pearl variant.
