In addition to CASIO’s high-density mounting technology, insights gained from the OCEANUS and high-end MR-G series were applied to achieve the thinner design. For example, the case back features a panel back rather than the traditional screw-back, reducing thickness while maintaining strength. This method, inspired by the octagonal screw-fastened case back used in the MRG-B2100B, helped refine the form.
While analog watches with hands and gears are generally considered more vulnerable to shocks than digital ones, CASIO’s advanced technology has made full analog watches with G-SHOCK’s trademark shock resistance a reality. The shock-resistant structure, including fine resin inserts between the bezel and center case, as well as three-legged lugs to disperse impact, was carried over from previous full-metal models. In this analog model, the crown features newly designed fine resin inserts, further enhancing shock protection and eliminating the need for large crown guards, allowing the octagonal bezel design to shine.
